In the heart of Derry, NH, a truly inspiring event is rising on the horizon, aimed at uplifting and empowering our young girls. Hosted by Strong Girls United, a forward-thinking organization dedicated to fostering strength, confidence, and resilience among girls through sports and mental health activities, this event is more than just a gathering. It is a movement. Occurring on Sunday, May 19, from 10 am to 12 pm EDT, at the prime location of 31 West Broadway, this Mental Health Awareness Event stands as a beacon of hope and empowerment for the young female athletes and leaders of tomorrow.
Imagine a day filled with laughter, friendship, and learning, as girls participate in fun fitness games that not only challenge the body but uplift the spirit. Team building activities crafted to bolster confidence and forge friendships, hand-in-hand with mental health empowerment stations, offer a holistic approach to well-being. These stations are designed to educate and inspire, led by high school and college female athlete leaders who embody the values and resilience taught through sports. With a registration fee of $35 per individual and a special family/team rate for participants in grades K-4, the event is accessible to all, and full scholarships are readily available for those in need.
This is more than just an event; it’s a heartfelt invitation to our community in Derry and beyond to come together and reinforce the importance of mental health awareness. It represents a unique opportunity for participants to engage in activities that strengthen both mind and body, surrounded by peers and leaders who share a common vision of empowerment and resilience. Additionally, the Strong Girls United Foundation seamlessly blends the excitement of physical activity with the profound importance of mental health, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
As the date approaches, we extend our arms in camaraderie and support, asking our community to join us in making this event a landmark occasion. Whether you’re a potential participant eager to learn and grow, a local business owner looking to sponsor and support an invaluable cause, or simply a resident of our vibrant community, there’s a place for you in this movement.
